Universe is OPEN BY APPOINTMENT
No cash or credit card refunds. All sales are final.
All sales are final. No refunds, exchanges or cancellations. Universe is not responsible for cancelled events due to natural disasters, pandemics, or any other reason for a canceled event.
Universe does not take returns, give refunds, or return deposit refunds - after putting a dress on layaway, beginning a build to order toward an order, ordering, or purchasing your dress at Universe Bridal & Prom (even if you find another dress elsewhere, changes to your event date, or for any other reason).
It is agreed that if I do not accept and pay in full for the merchandise covered by this agreement in accordance with the terms thereof, any payments made on the account may be retained by Universe Bride & Prom as compensation to them for storage charges, cost of insurance, expense and depreciation of the merchandise held. It is further agreed that no title to this merchandise shall vest in me until I have paid for the same in full accordance with the terms of this agreement. A deposit is required before ordering. We are not responsible for sizes or fabric dye variation. While every attempt is made to standardize these shades, it is technically impossible to guarantee identical color matches throughout the season. We are not responsible for delays in shipping by the manufacturer. Alterations are not included. All merchandise must be picked up and paid in full prior to the wear date stated above and prior to leaving our store. Any merchandise not picked up on or before the wear date becomes the property of Universe Bride & Prom. If Universe Bride & Prom is unable to order your dress, your deposit will be refunded. We do not accept checks for the final payment. All dresses must be paid in full prior to leaving the store for having any alterations/seamstress work done.
Universe is not responsible for damages to dresses once they leave the store. Please be careful with your dress! Formal dress materials are delicate and care must be taken to not step on the dress, pull at the sequins, get it wet, snag, drag dress on ground, clean/dry clean (see care instructions) or any other way your dress may be damaged - Universe is not responsible for any damages once dress leaves the store.
For bridal gown layaways a monthly payment is required. For Prom, homecoming or other special occasion layaways a payment is required every two weeks.
Shopping Requests, Shopping Party Size, Children, Strollers and Car Seats
To protect our dresses, we appreciate you keeping all food, candies, and beverages outside of the prom and bridal departments.
For everyone's safety, comfort, and enjoyment during this special shopping experience for you and all our other guests, we ask that a maximum of four (4) people accompany the shopper in the bridal department at a time/ Homecoming and Prom Department we ask that no more than 2 guests accompany the shopper.
Children and infants get very impatient during the shopping process which can make everyone stressed, so for your shopping experience to be the most pleasant, we recommend you make other arrangements for children so you can enjoy your day of shopping undistracted. If that is not possible, we require that all infants, toddlers and children be kept close to you at all times to keep everyone safe.
It can get very crowded at Universe, so when we do get busy in the store, we may ask you to place your strollers and car seats in our designated areas to keep our walkways and aisles clear for all of our guests.

We are so sorry, but we do not have a Mother's Department.
Universe does not carry a Mother of the Bride / Mother of the Groom Line.
Suggestions of what to bring to your appointment:
*Shoes - You may want to bring a pair of dress shoes similar to what you plan to wear with your dress.
*Neutral Color Under Garments - Please bring underwear, a good bra and any shapewear you may want to wear under your dress. Make sure your undergarments are of a neutral color so they do not show through the dresses you are trying on.
*Hair - You may want to style your hair in a way that you can easily pull it up - or in a similarish way that you may wear it for your event.
*Look & Feel Your Best - Trying on formal dresses and Wedding Gowns is an exciting experience and we want you to feel beautiful. 🥰 That usually means being freshly showered/bathed, legs/underarms shaved (if you are so inclined ), and your usual makeup routine.
*An Open Mind - It's helpful to have an open mind when dress shopping. You may LOVE a dress on you that you might NEVER have considered. It happens here all the time. 🙂
